WebP Converter
Convert static JPG, PNG, or WebP images to WebP, JPG, or PNG.
Static JPG, PNG, or WebP · up to 30 MB
Convert a static image to WebP, or open a WebP and export JPG or PNG for another application. Check the selected output format before converting.
What conversion changes
WebP can offer compact photographs and preserve transparency. Compatibility still depends on the application receiving the file, not just the browser used to make it.
Choose JPG for a destination that rejects WebP, or PNG for a lossless screenshot workflow. Renaming a file extension alone does not convert its contents.
Choose the output for its purpose
WebP and JPG quality controls use lossy encoding here; quality 100 does not guarantee mathematically lossless output. PNG encodes the existing pixels losslessly and has no quality slider.
PNG and WebP can keep transparency. JPG composites it over white. Source metadata may be dropped, and converting among lossy formats cannot recover earlier detail.
Export locally, then test the destination
When native WebP export is unavailable, this tool loads a local WebP encoder. Files remain in the browser. The receiving editor or upload form can still reject WebP even if your browser can display it.
Convert directly from your best source, download, and open the result where you intend to use it. Keep a JPG or PNG delivery copy if that application requires one.
Frequently asked questions
Can I turn a WebP into JPG?
Yes. Open a static WebP and select JPG as output. Transparent areas become white.
Does this preserve animation?
No. Animated PNG and WebP inputs are rejected rather than silently exporting one frame.
Is WebP quality 100 lossless?
Not in this tool. Its WebP output uses a lossy quality setting; use PNG when you need lossless pixel encoding.
